Yoga on the Lawn

By getting still (other events)

8 Dates Through Oct 28, 2020

ABOUT ABOUT

I am thrilled to combine two of my loves: yoga and the garden.

Starting in September, I will be leading a safe, socially-distanced yoga practice at the beautiful Bloom Flower Farm here in Black Mountain, North Carolina.

This 5 week garden series, will invite us to slow down and create space for stillness while nourishing our bodies, minds, and spirits. Our outdoor class will incorporate gentle, mindful movements, breathwork, and will conclude with meditation.

Bring the following for your comfort:

  • yoga mat
  • 2 large towels (to place under your mat)
  • water bottle
  • bug spray
  • sunscreen
  • you wallet to buy flowers and seasonal veggies
  • your sense of adventure!

Directions: Please arrive around 8:50, so you have time to park, familiarize yourself, and settle in.  When parking please pull forward in the roundabout so that you can easily leave without backing into the busy road.  The turnaround is 2 cars wide, so please do not park in the middle.  Both Abigail and I will be there when you arrive.

Please be mindful and wear a mask to the farm.  Once we set up our mats, our entire yoga practice will be mask-free. We ask that you set up your mat at least 6 feet apart.  Pick a spot where you will feel most comfortable and pay attention if it is in the sun or shade.  It does get a bit hot being in full sun.

When you arrive there will be a clipboard with a release form to sign for practicing yoga on the working flower farm.  If you have already done this, you are all set and no need to do it again.  We will have hand sanitizer on site.  There is also a porta potty if needed.

Class will begin as close to 9 AM as possible - and last 60 minutes.

Getting Still Yoga Studio offers intimate, personalized yoga classes designed to create a feeling of warmth, community, and safety while exploring the ancient practice of yoga with the intention of drawing near to the presence of God.

Restrictions

All classes are weather permitting. In the event that we are rained out, you will receive an email with a zoom link by 8:30AM so that we can enjoy a virtual practice together.
